Goin' to the Mountains

What does this song have to do with this post? Nothing really, I just really enjoy this song. I hope you do too!

My family and I are going north to the mountains to go skiing. We'll be driving for one day, meeting up with friends and traveling the rest of the way the next day. For those of you who don't live in Texas, from where we live it usually takes one day to just get out of Texas and then another day to get to where we're going.

We are so excited to see the snow cams on the website: Angel Fire, New Mexico.

Last Tuesday when we looked at it, there was no snow. We were starting to get concerned. But the Lord has brought in the snow!!! We are excited. This will be the boys first time on a mountain in the snow. Having lived in South Texas all their lives, they don't get to see snow much.

Also, we're taking a computer but I don't know how much access I'll have to the internet. If I'm not visiting your blog or responding to email, please understand I'm out of town. I do enjoy "visiting" with all of you and I do feel like we're family.

I do want to ask for your prayers for travel mercies and a safe and fun time. Thanks!

Blessings in Christ--

Oh what a great time you will have just in time for Christmas. Last year we decided to go to NYC for Christmas and it was really fun until Christmas day when I wanted to be home. I know you will love the beautiful snow and the joys of real winter! I'll be praying for your safe and family building fun, and for travel mercies. Enjoy and come home safe. love, annie

Deb,
Those towns are in East Texas and I live on the west side of Texas. Those places are 8+ hours away. I do have a cousin that lives in the Nacogdoches area, closer to Lufkin. She just got married.

Annie,
Thank you so much. We planned an early Christmas trip. I did want to be home for Christmas. It's hard for me being away from home on the holidays.

Love and blessings--
