The Clam

Last night while driving home after a long day trip, we stopped to fill up the vehicle with gas. While Eldon filled up, Chase asked, "Mom, can I go in the clam?'

"What clam?

Pointing, "Inside the store with the clam on it?"

So for now on we'll be stopping to fill up at the clam.

I am just reminded of my "clam" story, only in my story it was the "moon". We had been driving allllll night long on our way from WI to New Orleans 2006 Mission trip...I was asking why the moon was so big...as we approached "the moon" we discovered it was a "clam". I became the victim of many laughs...

It was a lighted sign on a very high pole along the interstate...

There seems to be something about long journeys that affect the way the mind works! That's funny Kathy!

Love this. My kids say the sweetest things too. They see life through a different lens and I love how they open up my vision to see more!
