Drive-in Church

Tired of the same old way of doing church? Then what do you think of a drive-in church? Here's a news clip of one in Daytona Beach, Florida. Please leave a comment about what you think.

Did he really just say "she"? I thought it was just wacky at first, but if the pastor is calling God the Father a woman, he is just plain crazy. Umm..pretty weird. How did you find this?

I heard "she" too. Weird and wacky, yes. The door is open wide. Who is willing to share in the most wacky way? The possibilities are endless, heh? God bless you all.

If I were retired and lived in Florida, I could see myself attending a church like this but only if it taught Truth. I sort of thought that that last comment was supposed to be a joke. He looks like a person who likes to have fun. But on the other hand, if he meant it, then BOOO to him.

Very odd. I know they showed SOME fellowship, but I seriously doubt if all of them actually do get out of their cars and I think fellowship is so important. The communion in the car thing was very weird. And, if they want to have a service outdoors, they can do that, but with everyone sitting together and not in their own cars! (We do outdoor services on Easter morning.) And, yes, the SHE thing was odd. He chuckled and perhaps it was a joke, and you never know what they cut out and how they edited that. Still it's too weird for me, and way too convenience oriented! The Bible never told us that following Christ would be convenient!!! In fact, quite the opposite!

I just don't think that Christianity is a relationship of convenience. I am bothered and saddened by this type of service. God doesn't serve us halfway or half-heartedly. He deserves so more than that!
